Use the 'soldier' cover on the right and answer the following:
How does this Big Issue cover construct representations  to convey a message, issue or mood? 
​

You shouldn't need these, but here are some questions to help you, if you are struggling
  1. What ‘big issue’ does the soldier edition deal with?
  2. How does this fit in with the magazine’s brand values?
  3. Which visual signifiers are part of the iconography of war?
  4. Describe the soldier’s face and  its possible deeper meanings (connotations)
  5. What other aspects of the main image and layout stand out?
  6. How do the textual and typographical codes support the main message?
