STRANGER THINGS EPISODE ONE NARRATIVE STRUCTURE
For Thursday 30th Have this ready for the lesson at 11.00. We will do some intro work on this on Tuesday. Look at the plot summary of Stranger Things, Episode 1 and write down A) The different storylines (we could also call these narrative strands, narrative arcs or plotlines) B) At the end of Episode One, how many questions are left unanswered? – write down in bullet points what the audience are left wanting to know more about. ____________________________________ Hand in by Friday 1st May : Make notes on: How does Episode One encourage a range of audiences to continue watching? This partly involves answers to point B but also extra codes and conventions such as aspects of cinematography, location, humour, quality of acting, production values, eighties nostalgia, genre. |

Episode 1 - fact check make sure you are on top of characters' names, main events etc Theory tie-in: how the following theories and theorists apply to Episode 1 __________________________________________________________ Work for Thursday - choose one of the theorists and show how their ideas can be applied to ST S1E1 You will share your screens so make sure the info is clear, attractive and accurate.
